For this project, I aimed to add something extra that not all configurators have. I wanted to make it possible to write and then carve initials at runtime.

To achieve this effect, I had to get the text data from the text box and then draw it to a render target texture

Here's where I got the text data when it was committed or changed — to my function. It also updates when the font is changed

Here's my function where I begin drawing onto the render target canvas. I also had to go into the font assets and scale them there; otherwise, they were way too small, and when scaled too much, they became blurry.

Here I generate a normal map from the render target texture to get more detail.

Here's my scene setup: simple, with some rect lights and an HDRI for better reflections.
